Love these binoculars
I use my Zeiss Conquest 10x56 T* Binocular for birding. The image in these binoculars is just incredible--extremely sharp and clear. In good lighting they are fantastic, but it's under low light conditions thate I really have enjoyed these binoculars; it's been so great to get such good looks at owls in flight after sunset.
When I first got the binoculars, I was struggling to use them efficiently. There are two reasons for that: the first is that the focus wheel works in the opposite direction of my previous binoculars. I don't know if there is a standard for binoculars, but with these binoculars you have to turn the focus wheel clockwise to focus on a further point (which is the opposite of what I was used to). It took a few times out to get used to the change in direction.
Also, as compared to my previous binoculars, the focus wheel is very sensitive so you only have to move it in small increments to fine tune while focusing. This also took some getting used to, but now that I've become accustomed it is actually another asset of the binoculars; being able to change from a near focus point to a distant point extremely quickly.
Bottom line for me is that after a short adjustment period, these binoculars have been sensational, providing super clear and crisp looks at the birds that I love.
