Good, Affordable Compacts!
Rating: 3 (of 5)
I got these to replace and older pair of compact Bushnell binoculars that I had been using. These Nikon binoculars are a huge step up.
Image clarity is good for the size and price, the weight and size are just what I was looking for in "take-with-me-everywhere" binoculars. The close focus is good enough for birding in the woods and the reverse porro prism design gives us much more out of the 25mm lenses than a roof design of the same diameter.
On the downside, the FOV (field of view) isn't huge, the waterproofing does add some weight over the Nikon Travelite series and looking even near light sources produces a washed out white ring around your vision.
In all, these are good binoculars for my purposes.
